About NDC
The National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes is a technical assistance and dissemination center funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). Our mission is to provide information, strategies, and networks to improve continuing education and training for deaf people. We believe that a person-first, deaf-centered, community-led, and evidence-based lens is crucial in reducing barriers to postsecondary outcomes for deaf people.
Strategic Support Specialists
The purpose of this position is to support the National Deaf Center's mission of sharing networks, resources, and strategies for improving continuing education and training for deaf people. The Strategic Support Specialist role provides multi-level support to schools, organizations, and agencies (education, vocational rehabilitation, local communities, etc) to address challenges deaf people may experience in the transition period from high school to continued education or employment. In this role, the team member will provide customized consultation, targeted outreach and training, and program improvement planning support to strengthen collaboration and implementation of services to increase postsecondary outcomes for deaf people.
