Greetings all!

What is the process for students with disabilities to file a complaint or grievance at your institution? Specifically, if they encounter issues about their accommodations. Where and how would they go about filing a complaint/grievance?

Thank you in advance!

Tagging onto this topic- are students at your institution provided with information on how to file a complaint when they first register with disability services or is the information only shared when a student requests it or has an issue?

Grievance information is on our website. We only specifically send it if there is a complaint.

We have two different processes.  1. If a student feels they aren't being accommodated in the classroom they come to us and we investigate. If we are unable to resolve the issue, the student goes to Title IX/Discrimination Harassment Retaliation. 2. If the student feels we are not providing appropriate accommodations or they want to appeal a decision, they can appeal within our division. This means they can choose to have the appeal heard by any administrator up to our Associate VP. If they are still not satisfied, they can go to TIX/DHR or to OCR.
