Hi All,

My University has the wonderful situation of having gifted Deaf student athletes.  With that, our costs for ASL interpreting services has drastically increased due to the practices and competitions that are held on a near daily basis for multiple hours.  We are now expecting an incoming dual-sport Deaf athlete and a likely triple in our interpreting costs for next year.  Our administration is pressuring us to research alternative funding for the increased need.  They acknowledge that this service is essential, but are realizing just how much money is involved.  Does anyone have suggestions for grants or other funding sources to help offset the cost of interpreter services?  In our searches, we have only been able to find grant funding for training interpreters, but not the cost of hiring them.
