Ms. Latoya Dixon joins the National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes as an Accessibility Resource Specialist. Latoya hails from the East coast and moved to Texas in 2010. She is a seasoned accessibility advocate who has worked extensively with transition-age youth and college students with disabilities. In her previous role, she worked in the disability service office in higher education providing accommodations to students with documented disabilities. Latoya is an alumnus of Gallaudet University with B.A’s in Early Childhood Education and Spanish. She is also a proud UT graduate, having received her M.A. in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, and is currently pursuing her doctorate degree at Lamar University in Deaf Studies/Deaf Education. Ms. Dixon strongly believes in equal access for those who are deaf, hence, her doctorate focus is on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the underlying disparities within the deaf community. #deafsucce
