Presentation Summary: The National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes (NDC) is supported by a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs. NDC provides evidence-based strategies to deaf people, family members, and professionals at the local, state, and national levels with the goal of closing education and employment gaps for deaf people.This session will provide a brief overview of NDC’s work at national, state, and local levels to increase postsecondary attainment of deaf people. This segment will provide a overview of NDC ‘s mission & goals and how we provide technical assistance.

Communication Access Technology for Deaf Individuals, T. Ivanko & S. Zito; March 2, 2018
Presentation Summary: Technology can be an essential tool to reduce barriers and increase communication access for deaf people in both education and employment settings. There are a myriad of options available. In this session the National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes will introduce and exhibit available assistive and communication technology for education and training settings. Participants will obtain guidance, tools, and resources essential to employing effective services for deaf people.
