On Nov. 17th at noon CST, NDC will hold a virtual discussion for the Community College Knowledge & Practice AHEAD community.

For the past year, the National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes (NDC) has been working with colleges and universities on the nationwide shortage of service providers, (sign language interpreters and captionists), and the negative impact this shortage has on deaf college students. NDC has collaborated with disability resource professionals to tackle the urgency of this issue to develop creative solutions and strategies for recruiting and retaining service providers.

As the shortage continues, NDC remains committed to fostering a constructive dialogue on this issue and is looking forward to connecting with Community College Knowledge and Practice members on November 17th. This session provides a valuable opportunity for disability resource professionals to connect with one another. Additionally, we strongly encourage you to involve your administration in this session, as their participation and support are crucial in addressing the challenges faced on your campus.

Hope you can join us! 🙂

Thanks for sharing this information LaToya! Is it open for anyone to attend or do you need to be a member of the hosting organization?
