Sometimes as deaf people we experience discrimination. This can really impact us especially in college environments. Discrimination doesn’t always look the same, and it can happen in different ways. Here are some examples of discrimination:

1: A deaf student is excluded from classroom activities and discussions. 2: A professor doesn’t want to work with a deaf students to provide accommodations. 3: Other students don’t make conversations accessible. 4: A campus event forgets to provide access even though you requested. 5: Other people doubt your academic ability because you are deaf.
