Hello. I’m CarrieLou, the Associate Director of the National Deaf Center.
[music] As the associate director of NDC, I look forward to having the opportunity to work with deaf people at a national level, on issues that are deeply important to me both in my personal and professional life.
[music] I am a deaf individual, born and raised in Austin, Texas. I graduated from the Texas School for the Deaf. We know that deaf people have a rich knowledge base, and have the skills and capabilities needed, however; sometimes this is overlooked by the general public. So for us, this is an opportunity to showcase the world what deaf people can do.
