Malibu Barron (she/her) is a Strategic Support Coordinator with the National Deaf Center. She is a Deaf Multiracial woman and a doctoral student in Educational and Community Leadership at Texas State University. She holds a BA in Sociology and an MA in School Counseling from Gallaudet University.

Over the past decade, she has led numerous trainings, workshops, and keynotes on accessibility and student success, working across K-12, higher education, and community organizations. Her work integrates key areas such as education, mental health, interpreting, and accessibility, focusing on fostering effective learning environments. In her previous roles, Malibu had multiple roles in different schools and was an outreach/educator for nonprofit organizations.

Malibu was identified as Deaf at one year old before newborn screening became mandatory. She comes from a four-generation Deaf family and attended four Deaf schools across the U.S. She is also a proud mother of three Deaf children, including her oldest, who is Deaf and Autistic. Together, they enjoy traveling, discussing self-advocacy, and cultivating multiple perspectives in their home through books and conversations.
