Presentation Summary: This presentation will cover existing knowledge and data about outcomes of summer camps for deaf youth. We delve into the findings from our comprehensive review of the literature and discuss implications and future directions for the field of deaf education.

Increasing Bachelor’s Degree Attainment for Deaf People: 2008-2016, Carrie Lou Garberoglio, Paige Johnson, & Stephanie Cawthon; February 6 – 9, 2019

Presentation Summary:  Educational attainment is a crucial contributor to postsecondary achievement. Despite lower rates of postsecondary attainment among deaf people, secondary data analyses of the American Community Survey revealed steady growth in bachelor’s degree attainment for deaf young adults from 2008 to 2016.
