From November 17–20, 2024, the National Deaf Center joined professionals, advocates, and community partners at the 2024 SERID Conference in Hilton Head, SC. Since 1971, SERID has been a cornerstone for training those who work with the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind communities, and this year was no exception.
NDC attendees Karla Giese, Jen Higgins, and Diego Ozuna-Clark represented the center, engaging with national experts and innovators across education, vocational rehabilitation, mental health, and interpreting fields. The conference offered an incredible platform to share knowledge, collaborate on best practices, and expand networks with other professionals committed to advancing access and equity.
Thank you to SCVRD, regional partners, and everyone who made this event a success. Together, we’re building stronger, more inclusive communities for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind individuals.
